Florida!

Other than going to Disney, we had a fun, but very short, stay in Florida. Remy had a sinus infection the whole time so really was feeling under the weather, but she managed to make it through!

 Remy and I will actually be back this week, but just for 3 days, so that I can train the person who will be taking over my job. I plan to be a full time stay at home mommy by the end of the month!

Remy's 1st Disney Trip 1/31/13

I am lucky to have a sister who works in the tourist industry. She has so many connections to all things happening in Orlando and made it possible for Remy to visit Disney (for free) when we visited for a weekend.

I was SO excited! I know that Remy won't remember anything, but sharing it with her was just so much fun for me. She slept a lot of the time, since we went directly from our flight to the Magic Kingdom, but she enjoyed herself as well!

She met Donald and Goofy, ate some Ice Cream, also rode the Pirates and Tea Cups and I bought her a little Minnie souvenier. She got a '1st Time to Disney' button but the guy wrote the date as 1-31-2012.....oh well, we all know she couldn't have gone before she was born! She slept through every Parade/Performance in the streets which I think she would have enjoyed seeing, but there's always next time!

What We've Been Up To

Since I was MIA for so long......

 It's been chiiiilly here! We got snow a couple different times but nothing that stuck. I've loved dressing Remy in all of her hats!

 Remy has learned to feed herself. She loves puffs and will eat them all day if you let her.

 She also helps with the laundry. Good girl!

 Remy loooves the xylophone! It's her favorite toy at school. Unfortunately, she usually gets bullied and someone tries to take it from her. Poor baby :(

 We had a few warm days which demanded a walk outside in the sunshine! Remy got a good nap in, too.

 I downloaded some apps on my phone and one is a drawing one. here is Remy's first picture! Yes, I printed it out and hung it on our fridge :)

 Remy learned what a flower was for the first time. She was scared at first, but then learned it's not bad! We like when Daddy brings home flowers!

 All ready for Valentine's Day!

Remy is still not crawling yet. She does go in a circle and backwards, though!

 I'm still eating healthy! Especially during the weeks. I splurge on the weekends but have been more tame - we eat out once a week and the other nights I still make us fairly healthy dishes.

 We started having our own game night on the weekends. Pass the pigs, anyone?

And I forgot to post this pic of Remy at Christmas. It's one of my favorite shots of her. she was all ready for Christmas Eve mass! It just doesn't get any prettier.

8 Months!

Happy 8 Months to my sweet baby girl, Remy! I can't believe that she is so old!

6 Months!

Well, I officially have a big girl! Remy turned 6 months on Sunday and I really can't even believe it.

She is doing so much now - eating solids, sitting on her own, rolling over, 'talking', laughing - she has really got the sweetest personality going on! I love her 2 little bottom teeth and her big smile :)

Here's her stats:
26.75" long - she is tall! She's grown 2 inches in the past 2 months and is in the 85th percentile for height

14lb 10oz - She is a lender little girl and at the 25th percentile for weight.

Remy likes to cat nap these days. She will cry it out in bed for 2 hours and then only sleep 15 minutes. Whaaat? Mommy doesn't like that! She also wakes 2-4 times a night. She eats and then falls asleep. The Dr gave us the ok to stop feeding her at night and again, let her cry it out. He says that in a week or so she wil lstart to sleep through the night.....we shall see, Remy.

We are introducing solids one at a time. The doctor says that she can eat anything she wants which is news to me - i thought there were new rules? Well, ice cream and icing it is, girl :) So far she has had oatmeal, banana oatmeal, green beans, sweet potatoes and pears. I think next Ill introduce banana and see if she likes that at all.

Its chilly here so we gotta bundle up this little jingle bell! Crawling here we come.......

Yes, Remy had a halloween party at school today. What a cutie - it was great to see her get all excited and wave her hands arms and legs all around :) My Boo Boo!

A Recap of our Busy October!

To say that October has been busy for us is an understatement. We had family in town for a little over 2 weeks, Remy was baptized and today she turns 5 Months Old! Everyone just left today and I have a moment to catch my breath, hold my baby and enjoy some smiles. Heres what we've been up to:

Remy Got Baptized! My whole family came and spent some time with us. We had a lot of fun and I loved seeing everyone. A and I even took a night to go out with my sisters and have a couple of drinks downtown.

A's Family came to visit! Remy is one spoiled little girl...... I bet daycare is just hating us for having her out 2 weeks!

Remy turns 5 months old today! I can't believe how much she is growing and changing. I love her so much and can't imagine life without her!

Now it's on to finishing up her halloween costume, carving pumpkins and picking up candy for the trick or treaters (yea I already dug into the bag I bought.....actually I opened it in the car after I bought it!). Remy wont go out this year but she will help us hand out the candy. Its going ot be in the 50s this week so we have some nice Fall weather!

And you know that the stores have Christmas stuff that is ready to hit the shelf next weekend. I cant wait to see it all!!
