This Week is Taking Forever...

and I am really wishing that it was Friday instead of Thursday! I have had a lot of meeting up with friends going on after work, so maybe that has just made me feel busier than usual, although in a good way. I am just ready to relax a little bit!

Yesterday I headed to the gym after work, and before meeting my friend at Panera. I had a good workout, showered and changed and headed to my car where I immediately felt that watery jaw/nauseous/hand me a bag feeling. Just a few weeks back I had this same feeling and proceeded to throw up about 10 pounds of water into a garbage bag while driving! I came to the conclusion yesterday that when I run and then do my strength class, I really need to eat more than just some soup and a few pieces of chocolate. Once I got some food in me I was fine, and I didn't have to use to bag like the last time, so I really need to up my calories Monday and Wednesdays.

I have kept off the weight that I dropped in January and am very happy at how I am toning up and just feeling in general. This weekend I am heading to Gainesville and hopefully we will be pretty good food wise. I really want to make homemade gummy candies, from a recipe that I saw on a bloggers site that I follow. I am thinking that if they are good, they would go well with my candy favors for the wedding. I want things that won't melt, and could get some cute wedding themed molds and make a bunch of them. So we will see how that turns out. There's also a chili beef stir fry recipe that my mom made that I am dying to make again, probably with some veggies thrown in and maybe wok noodles.

Tonight after work I am actually headed to a hair consultation. You know that I am scared to cut my hair, but I feel like I need to do something before the wedding. The underneath of my hair is about 98% healthy, with the top being more like 10%. I figured that it was from coloring plus all of the heat, so I started only shampooing twice a week, and only blowdrying or flat ironing once a week. I haven't seen the difference that I had hoped for, and am just seeing more damage. I really want some long layers put in (so that the damage is not as noticeable), while keeping the length. Before I trust anyone to mess with my locks, I need to meet with them first! Do you ever get that territorial about your hair? It's a big deal to me and I hate scissor happy stylists!

I've knocked a good amount of items from my 'to do' list this week. The small things are all coming together and I'm just waiting for about 50 packages to land on my doorstep next week! As I buy I try to rebudget and make sure I have the money that I need for everything sorted out now. Since I don't use credit for anything, I have a certain amount set aside that I am using for wedding related expenses. Once I know our official number count I will be able to proceed with more things, which is April 1st so really not far off!

Well, we really just need to make it through today and then we are in the clear for the weekend. Any big plans? Or more importantly, any spring/summer vacation plans coming together? You already know what mine is!

  1. Yes, this week is definitely dragging. I woke up this morning so annoyed that I had to go to work (haha). I really wanted it to be Friday!

I've had that happen to me after a workout. The first few times I did P90X's cardio I was super nauseous afterwards. Such a horrible feeling! And yes, I am the same way about my hair. I'm always terrified that I'm going to hate it. But it will really help if you take some pictures with you to the consultation and ask to see pictures of their work as well!

  2. I didn't know you did P90, are you still doing it now? It seems like such a commitment that Im not sure I am ready to tackle yet but I love seeing peoples results!

  3. I've been doing the cardio & abs work out on the P90X DVD for about a month, 2-3 times a week. The rest of the week I use a Pilates DVD for toning and hop on the treadmill. I'm not looking to build muscle (obviously), so the rest of the P90X DVD is pretty useless to me.

But yes, I've definitely seen results from P90X. I think the cardio workout is doing more for me than running on the treadmill. I haven't been doing the abs workout as much as I'd like, but I do see a slight change.
