Veggie Stromboli

I don't know anyone who does not like seems to be one of those universal foods that everyone can enjoy, so it just makes sense that strombolis are just as good. They are a pizza with double the dough, and I personally can never get enough carbs!

Vegetable Stromboli
Premade Pizza Dough, risen
1/2 Orange Bell Pepper, chopped
1/2 Green Bell Pepper, chopped
1/4 White Onion, chopped
1 medium Tomato, chopped
Part Skim Mozzarella, Shredded
Fresh Basil Leaves, chopped
Kosher salt
1 tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 Egg

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large circle. Add half of your cheese, and place toppings, plus basil leaves, on the entire surface of the dough. Add remaining cheese and drizzle with olive oil.

Roll dough into a burrito shape and placeon a baking sheet. Brush the top with egg and sprinkle with salt and oregano. Using a sharp knife, slit every few inches, width wise.

Bake for about 30 minutes, or until the top has browned.
